Does your set up, send oil in parallel(feeds both filters same time) or series (fills one than the other). The parallel design is a just a larger filter.

I think that's a great question. Other than increasing volume, what is the benefit of two filters of the same... I'm not sure what the term is... filtering capability? however the filter's ability to screen smaller and smaller particles... ? I'm thinking that the second filter might not actually do anything more because whatever it might have cleaned up, the first filter already did - so the oil going into the second filter (in a series install) would come out of it the same way it went in, essentially as though it had only been filtered once. Is this correct?
On the other hand, a parallel install would filter the oil quicker, for whatever that's worth.

OK, I looked it up. the ability of a filter to filter out bad stuff is the "pore size". if two filters are the same pore size, running oil through them one after the other does nothing more than through just one. to gain a benefit from multiple filters, you'd want a smaller pore size in the second filter, and so on. the idea is that you don't clog up the smaller pore size filter with the bigger junk that the first filter screened out.
