(5.4 engine)I wanted to see if anyone else has engine heat issues...It might not be a issue but thats why Im asking.

According to my gages the heat of the motor is fine but when you are standing or walking by the front after drivings its a little hot. More so then any other car or truck I drive..a full size dump doesnt even put off heat like that when its 100* out.

Anyone with a 5.4 notice the same thing with theirs?

OIL..
5.4's so I heard tend to eat up oil. I have to put in a quart ever few weeks or so.
I was thinking of putting in something like stop leak or engine restore to make it from one oil change to the other without worring if shes get low.

Hi,

My 5.4L is also hot when you walk in front of it.
I guess it's normal because there are no failures or anything else in the last year I'm driving it.
It's always hot on Curacao and the engine is doing just fine.

I personally don't like stuff like oil leak repair etc.
It "fills" the leak, but what will it do with the small/tight internal oillines?

I have to fill up almost 1 liter every month, I don't now if it's usin oil because I have a leak under the hood. I have to fix that first.
Oil using of an engine has everything to do with the way you drive and it has been drivin with.
