I'll try some smoky burnouts with mine one of these days to see if the babysitter can be fully shut off and I'll see if the locker works as its supposed to on dry roads assuming it'll overcome the abs bs!

i wanted the navi for those seats. best seat execution I've ever seen. one of the preschool moms has one and its sweet. but the lack of a true two speed tranny kills it for me

You know the Navi has the same trans as the expy right? Except Navi BL comes standard with heavy duty tow package.

I wish I had a differential lock button. I have a 2wd with the tow package, so I should have the eLSD. I didn’t want to have a one wheel wonder at a boat ramp.
Does it act different depending on the driving modes?
What is a good method to test the eLSD?

The differential in the video below looks very similar to the parts page posted before.

If you have an 18MY or newer with the HDTT, you have the eLSD with a locker. When pulling the boat out of the water, the eLSD will give the wheel with the most traction the torque.

I believe so. I normally pull my boat out of the water in 4wd, but I don't slip when I forget. I have slid slightly on freshly wet pavement in 2wd on a corner. Changing to 4wd normal mode eliminates the problem. So, when it is rainy, I use 4wd normal mode.

yes the transmission is the same but i don't believe you can get a navigator with the two speed transfer case.

Definitely has a 2Speed case. It is even mentioned in the manual. No button. You have to engage Steep Climb mode and it will put the Navi in Low Range after some instruction.

that's pretty cool. i couldn't find any info on that when i was looking to buy my expedition. even when i went to build one on lincolns website i couldn't find any info on if it had the two speed. i tried googling it before i posted that too and still couldn't find any info. that's something i would have thought they'd advertise. the only reference to having two ranges didn't specify low range so i assumed they must only have 4a and 4h. probably would have looked harder for a navi if i had known that. the interior on the navi is so nice

Don’t feel bad. Just look at this thread. Lots of people had no idea. Myself included.

TFL issues were that it disables when you turn the Truck off. Andre turned Truck off and got out, then got back in and forgot to Turn it back on. He got blasted for it too!!!

They have a denali beating a Navi in a race but I still like them!

Yeah, that video perplexed me. They were close. I think if they did it 3 times, the Navi would have won 2 times. There is also the factor of what fuel they put in it?

I'm with you on this... They must be really, really bad at driving. Though their info does tend to be useful. Especially at altitude this should not even be close.

I believe Nathan said they ran that race several times and the result was the same each time even after switching drivers. They generally run several and publish the most “average” result of them all. It is weird though, the Expedition beat the Denali and then the Denali beat the Navigator. Didn’t seem to add up.
