Overhead console display

My wife has a overhead console in her 99 expedition, and she wants the overhead display, with compass, temp. and miles to empty and mpg. I bought a overhead display with a pigtail that is 6 inches long , where does the other end of the connector plug in to. I found the ambient sensor out on the left side of the header panel with a cap on it, looks like it needs just the sensor. I looked at the right side kick panel and did not see any connector. Any help would be great. I added a overhead console display on my 2004 superduty and the connector is at the right kick panel runs up the right A-pillar then over the front of the headliner and right to the display.

I would assume the connectors are all in the overhead console.
