Overiding interior dome lights

OK. Thanks Andy. Also gonna replace all dome bulbs with LED's.
With the switch cranked up, the interior is not as bright as some cars
and even my old '97 Expy. Hopefully they make some that are a warmer
white than the white/blue led's that first came out.

That would be a No. I just did some and I even ordered some that are "claimed to be warm white". They are not.

Short of mod replacing the actual LED's on the bulbs with warm white's there are none.

Still better than yellow dim lights.

OK. Anything brighter on the incandecents? Maybe that reostat switch, subject of this thread, isn't getting the full 12 volts to the domes when rolled up to the stop@max brightness? 'Have to check that.

My interior lights are fairly bright, not like daylight or anything like that but not dim. It might be that the switch is wearing out or the bulbs are old.
