Hi everyone.
I’m new here and this is my first post. I have a question about my 2000 4x4 expedition. I was told it had six lugs by the guy I bought it from. So I went out and bought 20s on 33s for it and come to find out it’s a five lug. So after some research I found out that in 2003 it switched to six lugs. My question is can I just buy those and switch them out? Will they fit?? Will I have to buy anything else??? I know there are adapters out there but my rims already have a pretty gnarly offset so I don’t want to go that route. TIA

I'm not sure you'll find anyone that has tried this. Aside from your predicament I can't see a reason why you'd go through the effort quite frankly.

You have wheel bearing hub assemblies in the front, but you have axle shafts in the rear. I suggest you'll have to change the rear axle shafts. In 2003 the Expedition switched from a solid rear axle to independent suspension and thus wheel bearing hub assemblies came into play then.

This is something you'll mostly likely have to try for yourself or try to sell the rims you have and buy new ones. Certainly the easer route and if you don't do the hub/axle swap yourself buying new rims might be the cheaper route.
