Hi Friends!
I am 100% new to this website. This is my first post. Hopefully I have this in the right area but anyways I am new to learning about my 2007 Ford expedition. 1 year ago I did not even know how a transmission worked, where it was or where the engine was or anything. Now I have been working on mine, watching videos and learning and know a little more but still a lot i DO NOT KNOW...so I am asking for help for those who know these vehicles and can tell me what some things are I need help with and what they do.
Thats why i joined this forum group, i want to learn. So go easy on me please! LOL. I have been loving learning how a vehicle works and operaes not only mine but others as well. I just want to learn its very interesting.

Here is my question and hopefully I can include a pic.
What are these lines I am pointing to in this picture...now these are down underneath
The engine towrd the front of the car. Please tell me what they are and where they run and what they do if you know. Thanks!

Drew M

I have had some one tell me they might be Transmission cooling lines. They seem to get a wet look but nothing leaking or dripping on the ground but the fluid doesn't seem to be antifreeze or anything. So im not sure. I can not really seem to find where they go they kinda get lost in a bunch of other things but run back towards the transmission. Just thought I would see if someone knows quick off hand on here. Thanks

See where they go and touch the leak with a tissue and see what color it is. Not sure anyone here will tell you what you can see for yourself.

There are three sets of cooling lines in the front of some of these trucks for transmission fluid, power steering fluid and engine oil. All have hoses with crimped tubing. The hose sections permit vibration and movement and allow for replacement.

Believe that is high pressure power steering hose. I have a couple posts on that. Do a search and see if you can find them. Search is a great tool on here

MrSticker....they were the power steering lines...thank you. I did check. I thought they were leaking at the fittings but are not. It was just residual oil from a previous change that dripped down that made them look wet...but was not sure what I was getting into

Guy on here couple weeks back saw that line wet and it was a brake line that was leaking. He thought it was that hose also. You may have seen that Forum post.
