TL/DR: UPDATE 5/19/22: The CL1T14C226BB is the most up-to-date official Ford firmware for the PCM. So, there is no need for a concern!

Hi all,

I have been having multiple intermittent issues for a few months now (dimming of headlights, dining of odometer, O2 sensor error codes, funny idling, hesitation during driving, etc.)

I recently learned about engineering diagnostics mode (turning ignition on while holding the reset button) and to my surprise the part number of PCM is different from the physical label on the PCM:

Using engineering diagnostics (holding reset while turning the ignition to ON):
CL1T14C226BB (****-14C226-BB)
Physical PCM label:
CL1A-12A650-DG (CL1A12A650DG)

Attached are the pictures as well. I bought this pre-owned 2013 Expi EL XLT less than a year ago. I would appreciate any inputs or advice.

Thanks,
Pratik
