Tows perfectly on nearly all roads up to 45-50mph, good most of time up to 62mph, safe in flat highway up to 70mph.. only point of concern is steep windy downhill mountain roads where expedition engages engine/transmission braking...transmission heats faster than desired with grades >6% when limited to 45mph..transmission doesn't like holding back full weight of trailer at slower speed on a hot summer day, second cooler turns on

2020 XLT w/hvy dty tow pkg & Equalizer WDH has towed our 31' travel trailer very well for more than 5,000 miles this year.

Our 2021 Expedition XLT (max tow, 1806 lbs payload) with Anderson WDH towing a 5800 lbs dry, 7600 gross (but about 6800 loaded) 28’ travel trailer. Tremendously stable and easy to pull.

Man, that is a tongue heavy S.O.B. Just over the rated tongue weight dry. I guess for a toy hauler that makes sense. What's your loaded up weights look like? (genuinely curious... looking at something similar and was concerned about maxing things out).

Just picked this one up. 2022 Cougar 25RDS heavy on the hitch weight but son in law adjusted the Equalizer and I put about 65 psi in the rear Expedition tires and it leveled out. I've got the Max Towing and its an FX4 mode. The Ecoboost pulled it easily at 60 mph.

2018 Plati 4x4 non HD tow w/ 2022 Axis T23 tow boat. Very little squat but the Expy struggled a bit up hills. Just replaced the tires prior to getting the boat with Michelin Premier LTX. Great tires.

Right on the max hitch weight this Expedition can handle. As long as I keep it in the 60 mph range its OK.
