Anybody know the difference of the Police Package rotors versus standard? I have an 06 Expy EB and will need some brakes all around soon. I did not see any special pads for the police package but dont want to spend a little extra to find out they wont fit. Anyone try them or know the difference? Thanks.

Forget about the police package stuff, if you're looking for an upgrade in performance get some slotted or drilled aftermarket rotors (like the powerstop's I have) they will perform better and be half the price. Also with new rotors you should be getting new pads - definitely get ceramic pads - less brake dust, faster stopping, and longer lasting

Thanks for the info. Definetly going ceramic pads. maybe not drilled and slotted rotors though. Doing a trip through the mountains in the fall with a small trailer and just want to make sure i get the best options. Most other driving is by my wife within 10-15 miles of home.

Why don't you want drilled/slotted rotors? They are especially helpfull for towing. I do almost all freeway driving with no towing, but there have been plenty of times I'm glad I had extra braking power from upgraded rotors.

So i installed the police package rotors over the weekend with some new Monroe ceramic pads. The rotors are not drilled or slotted but are cast to prevent squeeking and provide a "quiet arrival". There is also some type of coating on them to prevent the rest of the rotor from rusting. I guess time will tell.
