Hello fellow expeditioners. Hoping someone can help me out. When accelerating i can push pedal and nothing happens, i push some more and again nothing, i have to push further then it will rev high and lurch while accelerating. If i am going up an incline i will have to push pedal to the floor. Incidentally, it accelerates fine when in cruise control. My dealer suggested trany flush and computer reset to the tune of $500 which didnt change a thing. Any ideas? Someone told me the throttle position module. What do yous think? Thanks in advance.

You could get an obd2 scanner with live data and see what the throttle position sensor is reading while driving with your foot in the pedal vs cruise control. I believe the 2010 has drive by wire. So there's a sensor on the accelerator pedal, and a motor on the throttle body. Since you say the cruise works fine, I'd guess you've got issues related to the accelerator pedal sensor.

Btw, your dealer is an idiot if you mentioned to him that the cruise control works fine. I'd want a refund (at least partial) on my $500 if it turns out to be the aforementioned sensor.

Thank you for the info. Will be taking it in to dealer next week and will suggest these possibilities. Take care
