Possibly a new owner of a 2011 EL Limited, advice needed.

Hello,

I am looking at purchasing a 2011 EL limited, 105k miles, in great shape. It has buckets, dvd and a moonroof, power boards that don't work. Mechanically its in excellent shape.

The Rocker panels on the other hand are not. They are designed poorly and upstate NY winters haven't been good to them.

I have had 2 body shops look at them and patch kits cannot be found in their systems.

Has anyone had any experience with this kit on ebay?

It is a weld in patch kit not a cover up kit. I hope someone out there has gone down this road, seems like it must be a common problem with this horrible design (factory crash holes in the inner rocker with no way to drain trapped moisture from the rocker)

Also I have read on here that it's possible to order 4 of these rockers, to cut and splice and make 2 rockers for the EL...
