Hi,

I am perplexed by an apparent power steering fluid leak on my 2003 XLT (180k miles). I lose it seems the entire master reservoir in about a week. On visual inspection there are no obvious leaks. the portion of the lines run where it horseshoes in the area under behind radiator is rusty but not dripping like I would think for such a leak.

The portions to pump, pump itself and the line to its independent cooling fins are all like new.

Is there another run I am not aware of with the route or known issues with the power steering design?

Thanks

Check all the lines from the reservoir to the pump then to the rack. Check the rack and boots for leaks. If it has a cooler you need to follow the lines for that also looking for leaks.
