Price cut and XL trim coming

Inevitabilities with the intro of the new Yukaburbahoe triplets.

Limiteds are getting an almost $3k cut off MSRP and the XL will be available for non-fleet buyers at about $50k. No price cut for the XLT.

(They report the upcoming STX trim as well, but that’s not news around here.)

50 grand is too much for a base XL. That’s a work truck trim and on the F-150 can be had for under or around 40k. I don’t think take rate will be high for that, since the work trim Tahoes are low 40k too.

For reference my dads 2016 Lariat Ultimate F-250 was about 50 grand after discounts with crew cab, leather, dual zone climate, premium sound, sync 3, Navigation, power and heated mirrors/ seats etc. The same money for cloth seats and no content doesn’t look appealing.

the work trim Tahoes are low 40k too.

Base LS Tahoe’s start at $50,295. So unless there’s a trim level under that that’s not yet announced/available, you can’t get a new gen Tahoe in the low 40s.
