Is anyone having problems with their 2003 side mirrors going all the way down and clicking against the stops in reverse? Once this happens the mirrors have to be readjusted.

I don't have this issue, but in my friends Lexus, they do the same thing. Apparently the Lexus manual states it is so that you see the rear wheels and curb. Is this on an XLT or EB? It might be one of those additional fufu adds that get put on the EB and not the other models.

Yes it is a special feature that comes on the EB. Its nice to have when it works properly. When it goes haywire the mirrors tilt all the way down and keep clicking against the stops. You can hear gears stripping. All you can see through the mirrors is the running boards.

I have this issue on both sides - dealer replaced the passenger side, but refuses to replace the driver's side with the same issue, telling me there's a TSB saying it is currently being worked on.

In the mean time, EVERY time I unlock the doors with the key (which sets the mirrors) they go out-of-whack and I have to manually adjust it back - been doing this for 10 months.....
