Looking at an 08 Ford Expedition XLT. I was reading from a website about repair history and reported issues by year model. I was wondering if any of you guys could take a look at this site and tell me if there is any truth in the failures and problems by the years?

My affordable price range is the 07, 08, and some 09 models. Anything previous to 07 seems to have a lot of problems. My top end is $10K and I live in Texas very close to Houston in case anyone knows of any in good condition that is for sale. I plan to make a purchase in the next few weeks.
I've always been a fan of Honda and Toyota. They make some of the most reliable vehicles on the road. But ever since I laid eyes on the Expedition when they came out in '97 I've wanted one. They've only gotten better looking and more expensive over the years. However it's hard to compete with the size and they room they offer. And for the money you can get one with a lot of features and not too old. Compared to a older model Sequoia with over 200k on it before it's affordable.
I tend to baby my vehicles and I'm not rough on them. I feel comfortable purchasing an Expedition and taking care of it. It should last me just fine.
Thanks for taking time to read and respond to my post. Let me know what kind of personal experience you might have and what year and package you have. There may be another thread that is very helpful for prospective owners such as myself.
Thank you!
