My 2006 xls has some gauges "places" not included i.e., there is a cover on the space where some models have a 3-button thing for message center. And other such "placeholder" things. When I removed the dash to work on something behind, I noticed that there are cables that are attached to those "placeholders" but obviously not connected to anything.
So, here is the question: If I order those gauges, like the message center buttons I mentions and such, would it be a simple thing to put them in and connect the cables, or will those things require other changes in the dashboard, or such?
I am learning a lot here, and I appreciate all you guys do via input and suggestions. Just yesterday, following instructions, I was able to replace the AC blend door actuator myself, which meant that I saved near 1000 dollars (Estimate by the shop).
Thanks
