Question on removing the side strip.

Have a question regarding removing the side strip on my 01 ford expedition. I have a black expedition and it has that silver side strip bleow the doors. Just wondered if ever i remove these if there will be holes on the vehicles body. Or is it all sticker? What about some sun fading. And i need help how to do it. THanks

If I were to guess I'm going to say there's holes underneath. The fading depends on how much you've had it in the sun and how much you wax it. If you parked it outside everyday then there might be some.
