I want to replace my rear Nivomats with Bilstiens and need to buy some used rear shock assemblies to accomplish this. My question is, what year model rears are compatible to reuse on my ‘15? Are all 3rd Gens going to work?

So I just went through this on my 2014. I wasn’t aware that my rear shocks were different than the Bilsteins going in until I had extracted my shock from my truck.

Luckily there is a junkyard near me that has a couple 3rd gens. I pulled the rear shocks from a 2010. I also reused the 2010’s spring and upper mount. I may have been able to use my 2014 upper mount.

Beyond that, I’m not sure what other years will work.

Rockauto has a feature where you can crosscheck what other models/years use a particular part number.

Thanks for the reply. I just ordered a set off of a 2014 from EBay.

The dirty coilover is my 2014, the clean one is the 2010. Rough size difference: 1.5” vs 2.5” (very “ish”, but big enough to be noticeable).

Do you have the replacement Bilsteins? I’d start there.

The lower spring perch on my 2014 appeared to be welded to the shock body.
