I would consider Royal Purple, Redline and Amsoil to be “premium” out of all the different brands.

I’m a big Royal Purple fan honestly. I use their HPS oil in my CTSV religiously because it holds up better to ethanol dilution, according to some lab results I’ve gotten. I’ve run Redline fluids in all my motorcycles as I felt the engine noise was quieter and the transmission shifted better with Redline over any other synthetic I used. Haven’t used Amsoil personally but I’ve never heard or read a negative review about it yet.

So far I’ve ran Quaker State synthetic and Castrol Magnatec synthetic in it. Both good oils for sure. It has the Castrol in it now. I plan to do a change this weekend or next and send off a sample to Blackstone. I’ll probably swap to RP or Redline then do another sample and compare results.
