rear brakes not working 2003 eddie bauer 4x4 5.4 liter....wear indicators sounded for front pads...changed front pads rotors calipers and caliper brackets because they were needed...at the same time inspected all rear components... changed pads only...all pistons and pins moving freely and rotors within spec...brake pads minimal wear but replaced anyway...two months have gone by and have noticed excessive heating of front brakes and excessive dust on wheels/rims...nothing on rear wheels... so i opened bleeder under pressure on rear caliper and fluid only trickles out...and pads look as new as when i put them on a couple months ago...no obvious signs of leaking master cylinder, caliper pistons, or brake lines. brake pedal does not feel spongy but does seem to have excessive travel before engaging brakes...no dash indicator lights on. I do about 60% city and 40% highway driving no towing....I realize rear brakes used less but i should see some wear with my driving habits...mater cylinder proportioning valve?...i did notice a black box that sits next to radiator drivers side 6x6 approx. square, plastic under air breather that all brake lines go to before the calipers is this some sort of control unit or pressure valve? PLEASE HELP any advice is appreciated
