Rear climate control button gone off display

Hello we’ve updated sync 3 and it was successful and we lost the rear climate control button on the touchscreen. So we cannot turn on heat in back nor does the knobs work back there. Where the buttons suppose to be on dash next to AC is gone all together. Cannot find any answers how to get it back. We’ve tried a few things and currently disconnecting battery to try that to get it. Checked fuses they were good. I’m at a complete lost and don’t want to pay a dealership to try and fix it or tell us need to replace console.

Forscan Doesnt give me that option to add rear climate control button. I’ve resorted it to the stock number and still not showing up.

is there an actual forscan spreadsheet for or that works for 2016 expedition ? I haven’t found anything that works. Just explorer and trucks.

Yea not a problem. When you said it I remembered I had used the coding side of forscan to put my heated and cooled seat controls on my screen not the easy config side of forscan. Let me know if you want any other forscan spreadsheets i have them all (that i could find and that are current) bookmarked

Anthony, Hope you are doing well. I just got my 2020 Ford Expedition Platinum and the climate app in not showing up on my display. I have SYNC version 3.4.20136 and the Ford site shows a new SYNC version 3.4.20282. Would that have anything to do with me not have my climate app on my display? I see you was able to help out the the gentleman above and wonder if you can help me get my climate app back on my display. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Anthony, I also notice both of you are talking about FORScan as a way of fixing my problem with my climate app not appearing on my display. Maybe you can give me some direction by using FORScan? I have brand new vehicle and already have a problem wow go figure. I am a Ford owner for life, but Ford in making it very hard right now .

Ah, computers. You're lucky to have a new car with a new car warranty. Hopefully the bug will be out of it for good long before the warranty's finished. Congrats on the new truck, Ron. Hope it brings you many happy and safe miles. Most of us don't use the rear heat much anyway.

Trainmaster. Yes you are correct. I have every warranty that Ford offers for 84 months 7 years with my new 2020 Expedition Platinum. I figured with all this new technology in the 2020 Platinum why not protect myself right. I just set my Wi-Fi to update automatically and will wait and see what happens for a couple of months. Everything is still working fine in the front and back of my Expedition with heat and air. I just operate from the back panel. I figured if it is not broken don't fix it Ha Ha Ha. Have the same on my Limited.No Climate control icon on screen.Took to dealership and was shown a Ford SSM .View media item 7498That was all they had to say
