In the next few weeks I will be starting to produce 2" rear coil spring spacers for the 97-03 models of Expeditions. I am posting this now to get you guys thinking about needing a set. I have made and sold coil and strut spacers for several years now but this will be my first parts for the Expedition. I currently make lift kits for all models of Suzuki/Geo SUV's.

I have yet to determine pricing but they will be cheaper than others out there now.

Thanks in advance for reading and considering this.

I would consider a set. Are they made from metal or plastic/rubber?

They are made from a urethane elastomer, "plastic". The plastic I use is one of the highest quality materials on the market. I have made hundreds of lifts for other vehicles and have had no complaints. I personally ran the spacers for 5 years with no issues.

Sounds good enough to me. Let me know how much you want for a set and when they are available.

Do they come with instructions.. Ha Ha..

Sorry guys I have figured up what the material will cost me per spacer and I cannot come close to Daystar's prices. These are some large coil spacers. I am used to much smaller ones. It does not look like I will be making any. Sorry

Well to anyone looking for the rear 2" coil spring spacers I found a site that has them for $39.95 plus shipping. I ordered a set today $45 with shipping included. That is dirt cheap for Daystars! Here is the link, they have a lot of other lift and spacer kits available. I will reply back after I get them to let you all know how shipping was and the product's quality (are they true Daystar or knockoffs?). http://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/daystar/suspension-kit.htm

Has anyone ordered from them?

It would have been nice to sell to you guys on the forum but my material cost was higher than what Daystar charges. They do look like very nice coil spacers.

Well forget the rear spacers from this website. Here is the email I just got yesterday from Thoroughbreddiesel. " I have just called to check on the order and Daystar no longer carries the part# you ordered. I apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. We have removed the part# from our website and gave you a FULL refund."

Well I thought that was too good to be true, and it was..

So I have ordered a set of Daystars from eautoworks.com they came to $62 shipped. Still half price from what the shops around here and eBay charges for them. I will let you know if they have them. Here is the link http://www.eautoworks.com/products.php?product_id=188101

Ha Ha,
Here is the response from the eautoworks.com. "Thank you very much for ordering with us. Unfortunately I was just contacted by the vendor that the part you had ordered was discontinued. I contacted other vendors to see if they had the part available to send to you and no one had the part in stock. I sincerely apologize for the delay. I have voided the transaction from your PayPal account and you should see an email immediately following this email confirming the refund. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask. Again I apologize for the cancellation of your order.

Looking for the next vendor that has the Daystars for extremely cheap. Although it will probably end up being the same story.

Are these the ones your using? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-REAR-COIL-SPACER-EXPEDITION-3-LIFT-KIT-2Pcs-/160427866980?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item255a3efb64
I just emailed the vendor today and asked if they would work on the 97-02 Expedtions. I figured they would fit but I didn't know anyone that was running these and you never know what types of stuff are on eBay.

I'm using those metal ones from ebay as well, only mine were the 2 inch ones. Been running them for over 2 years with no issues.

Ok, thanks KWT and Lane! I will be ordering a set then.

I apologize if this is a dumb question but what holds the spacers in place? Is it just the weight of the body? What keeps the spacers from sliding off the spring or vice versa? I have never lifted a vehicle only lowered them by smaller springs and struts.

I know this is probably not the best way to lift a vehicle (rear spacers and cranking my torsion bars up) but I just need enough lift to get my new 33x12.50's on it, and keep some space in my fender wells. Right now they fit but look really cramped and I will need to take off my factory running boards (I have a set of nerf bars to put on it) and trim my air dam because of the width.

your welcome. once you get the spacer you will see the way it is designed it cant move with the weight of the truck on then. also i know alot of people say you dont need new shocks but it may something to think about. you should fit those 33's with no problem.
