That happened on my F150 from the dealer tag. I had to solder it back on (learned how to solder doing it). I actually turned it on so it would spark and then I knew it had a connection. That did not work (need more practice soldering more I guess), so I actually used super glue and apparently it is conductive enough that it worked fine. Or maybe I got enough on the surrounding areas that it stayed in place. It worked until I traded it and never came off again. The Expy may be a littl more challenging because the window opens and closes and my F150 was a fixed window, but it would be worth a shot.

I went to napa and got a kit that has a brush on material to repair tabs and defroster lines. It worked like a charm and was only like $15

3m makes a conductive adhesive (used normally in grounding for small electronics)

i imagine that, plus some epoxy over the top of it would make it work right nice.

The kit fixes tabs as well as the lines so you should be good. If you cant find it i still have it so i can post pics of the kit.

Older thread i know. But glad I saw this one of mine has come off. I was planning on using super glue but this looks like a better choice.

Mine was off also when I bought my truck. Looked like it had tried to be glued multiple times. So I cleaned the area up but their was no metal left to solder to. So I had to get the repair kit from ford which comes with a longer tab in case you need to move the location. So I soldered mine lower than the normal location but it works perfectly.

Honestly I didn't either. Just practice before u do it. The key is to not keep the heat on the glass for extended periods of time. Take your time and it will be fine. Mine isn't perfect but its fixed. I will post pics later so u can see what I did

Soldering is an essential skill. It takes a pretty minimal amount of practice before u can make decent solder joints.
