Rear Driver Side Door Locked

I may be the first, but I want to see if this has happened to anyone. Rear door, the interior door handle spring must've popped. I could not open the door from the inside, but could open it from the outside. Was going to go in the door to fix the handle, but my son put on the child lock, and not I can not open the door at all. Any advice as to how to get this door open, or am I the only crazy on this planet that this would happen to?

i'm sure you cycled the child safety lock mechanism? sometimes they get stuck between. my driver's side rear door is notorious for that as I seem to move it while detailing every now and again. I also pull up on the lock indicator tab as mine is an extended tab on a '97; not sure about yours?

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "cycled the child safety lock mechanism". I can not get through the door. Is there a certain "end-around" to the door?

might have to pop off the panel from inside and use vice grips or something to get the door open by pulling the rod. YouTube perhaps?

had to do that with my rear hatch when the cable ends deteriorated; side doors are different I believe.
