Rear LSD question.

Hi folks!
I have 2000 Expedition XLT 4.6 4WD, rear diff looks like 9.75, ratio I guess 3.55(rear doesnt has a tag, but front says 3.55).
I searshed an aftermarket LSD, and every site I tryed says that I have 8.8.
Rear axle seems to be factory, it is never been removed.

Any ideas?

What does the door sticker say under axle code?

Found this nugget:

The 9.75" has a 12 bolt cover. The 8.8" has a 10 bolt cover

Maybe that will help?

4.6L came with the 8.8" rear. It's a uniform shape, the 9.75 has one side that is lower.

Look for this tag on your differential...
(I'm gonna get lower gears next project).
