I have a 2003 EB 4x4, neither of my rear windows will come down. At first I thought it could be a bad "child safety switch" from the master window control. I removed the switch and found 12dcv at the "safety switch" I tried to bypass the "safety switch" by connecting the three wires in different ways. Found that two wires were hot and got burned. But still didnt solve the issue. Front windows work fine. I dont want to replace the master switches until I have put my thumb on the actual issue. i have not been able to locate any articles on both rear windows failing at the same time, which seems suspect to me and leads me to believe it is the master switching mechanism. Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated.

Would the rear windows have a common fuse? This does not seem likely, after checking the "child safety switch" I found that when engaged it will NOT allow my front windows to roll down, so I think it is working fine. That being said could it be the 4 way master switch on the driver side control panel? I'm think yes, hoping I don't have two bad motors. I just bought the car and owner wasn't very mechanically inclined to offer an opinion. Guess we shall see!

Okay so I just removed the master control switch and broke it down to look at the contact points. All seems normal, no pitting or damage. Its probably a bad control board (computer board) on the switch itself. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a new master switch. $25 can't beat that repair!
