Hey everyone. My son sent me two videos this morning showing what looks like water pouring out from inside the rear hatch area. Right hand side looking in and over head. I have screenshots from his videos but they aren’t the clearest. It’s not raining so I thought the rear hvac system but it still doesn’t make a lot of sense to me coming from so high in the truck. I thought maybe condensation from the third brake light but not sure how common that is, and from the videos it seems like a lot of water for that to be the culprit. It does have a sunroof. I’m at work, this is my wife’s vehicle, so I’m just trying to get an idea what to look for when I get home. Thanks for any suggestions.

Is this a 2017? 2017s for whatever reason are prone to water intrusion problems more than any other model year

On my 2017, I’ve had a rear washer line break, and had intrusion from the engine bay inside around the blower motor and where the main power was coming inside to the BCM. FUN projects. I can’t stand water being where it shouldn’t be.

It’s a 2016. I verified it’s the rear wiper hose, just need a day that’s above freezing to fix it!
There’s a coupler up in the headliner, passenger side of center, that probably spit the hose out. I put the hose back in and zip tied it as best I could. I didn’t fully drop the headliner, only a portion.

Unrelated, but my daughter’s 2011 VW Touareg has a rear wiper but doesn’t have a rear window washer. Super useless.

yep. for sure washer line. There's a connection there that is in case the hose is plugged as for ice or something. Pops it off there and it rains in the rear. Usually sounds like someone pouring out water. At least that's what i've heard both times its popped off. I think the hose maybe is a little stretched but I just pushed it on farther as it's an easy fix without removing screws .
