replacement remote start fob

I recently bought a replacement fob for my dealer installed remote start after i jumped into a pool with mine (and my phone and wallet). I followed the programing procedures in the manual, but when i hit the lock button on the fob, nothing happened. I then went through the procedure again and hit the unlock button on the fob and the horn beeped as it should, but the only function i have is the lift gate open, on all buttons. I tried programing it again using the other buttons with the same result for the start (blue) button as the unlock, and the same result for the panic (red) button as the lock (none). it's part number 2W7Z-15K601-BA. Is that the right part? Any suggestions?

u did the off on 7 times (dont crank it) and then the doors should lock soon as they do hit the unlock and everything should work i had to redo mine b4 i got the alarm installed

i tried that. same response. i took it to the dealership and they were clueless. did the same thing i did with the same results. they seem to think that it is a fault in the aftermarket system.

here is the whole story;

i had two factory fobs and two remote start fobs as the second owner of the truck. everything worked fine.

i lost one of the remote start fobs

i got the remaining remote start fob wet and it stopped working

i began having an issue with the driver door latch that would make the car think the door was ajar. i had it replaced at my local garage and the issue was fixed.

i purchased a replacement remote start fob and tried to program it as stated earlier. at one point while the remote start system was in program mode, i hit the button in the vehicle again and it beeped 4 times then hit it again and it beeped 5 times.

i took it to the dealer and got it back in the same condition after they went through the same steps.
