Hello everyone...My question is I am replacing my brake lines on my 1997 4.6 Expedition. But I am having trouble with 2 lines. They are the 2 braided lines that come off of the master cylinder. The auto parts store cant find nor get them. Is it a dealer item only, do they have to be braided lines...or can I just make the replacement ....Thanks For The Help

They are suppose to be braided to account for body flex.

you can go out and buy braided lines cut to length. then just flare the ends... if i got that right.

As Panda said that is an option but NOT for the amatuer. First there is NO room for error as well as a flaring kit, a good quality on like snap on is pricey, just bite the bullet and get them from the dealer. You dont want to mess around with brakes on a 7,000lb truck
