Replacing the 08 Exp front grill???? Help!!!

Glad you posted that ^^^, just bought a 09 Expy EL XLT and the chrome grill and chrome backed head lights will have to go sometime after a 3/2 lift and tires install.

anybody just rough up/sand the chrome grill and repaint?
