Hey folks, I would appreciate any advice. My 2007 has been running rough. My first attempt at remedy was replacing spark plugs and coils. The truck ran great for a few days then the problem returned as if I had done nothing. I saw o2 sensors mentioned somewhere along the journey of trying to understand the problem. My question is, does replacing o2 sensors sound like my next logical step? There have been no errors codes generated at any point in this process.
Thanks all!

If the spark plug replacement let it run better than I’d start by pulling the plugs to take a look at each of them and marking what cylinders they came from. They might be oil fouled which would be a much different problem than an O2 sensor. Seeing which ones individually or if all are fouled would be the next best step. They might also be rich / sooted up on one bank or independently versus another which could lead to an 02 or a few different fuel related problems. Maybe post a pic of them and what cylinders they came from for all of us to see so we can help.

Hi there. By no means am I an expert, but I had a 2008 XLT that was doing the same thing. I was going through O2 sensors every 6-8 months with it running rough without throwing a code, then it would. I was advised by a local mechanic to change the Evap Canister Vapor Solenoid and when I did, it ran smooth as a top. There are many simpler things that could be doing it like a dirty/bad throttle body, a dirty/bad MAF, etc. If you have eliminated those things and it still seems to happen, you might have the same issue I did.

My rough running was due to loose hose clamps on intake from filter to motor. Tightened the two clamps and now sensors sense and motor is smooth.
