Running boards won't close all the way (1" gap on both sides). With pictures

They are saturated with penetrating oil but that didn't help. When I bought it a month ago they were fine.

You may have bent the supports under there or some bolts have have become broken

No because it is super clean under there and well lubricated and like I said; they were fine a month ago when I bought it and it hasn't been off road at all.

They dont just gap 1” on there own. Do you use them to stand on ever? Like to get stuff on or off your roof rack?

Yes they did gap on their own and used normally.

Well they are gapped equally at least so if your ruling out normal use as the culprit then maybe the support arms are starting to sag a little. Is there any play up and down in them when they are closed, like do they wiggle?

No play at all anywhere and they went all the way up a month ago.

Depending on how well you lubricated them, the internals can become gunked up causing the boards not to retract all the way in
