If I were here, you would know it !
Hello ALL,

Now that the weather here has taken a turn for the better (FINALLY !) I am about to undertake some repairs & maintenance tasks on & under da Beast...

Therefore, I am looking for recommendations on a REALLY good rust buster to loosen up those bolts/screws etc that have been exposed to the weather/salt/dirt/grime for a few years now....

For this type of work, I know for a fact the WD-40 or similar stuff won't cut it, nor does PB Blaster or similar...

If necessary, I will most likely use a combination of spray stuff + light heat + power wrench/socket/driver, so what say you fellow Expy owners ?

TIA for any & all suggestions :D

Kroil. One of the best penetrants ever. Let it sit for a while, bang on the bolts some, then try to loosen.
About the best stuff money can buy. But you will pay for it. I think the last can I bought from Napa was about $25. Very common in aviation Mx as well.

Another option is something called Mouse Milk - again, the gold standard in aviation Mx. That generally comes in a bottle or even quart-size, but you can get a spray can from Amazon that pressurizes with compressed air, effectively making it like an aerosol.
