So I'm not technically advanced enough to set up apple car play, but thought it would be relatively easy to set up Alexa+Ford. So I got the app on my phone per the instructions, and it is now asking me to connect my phone to the car via USB cord. So there are like a million USB connectors, so I connected my phone to one of the USB ports where the wireless charger is, but the car still isn't recognizing my phone. Is there a designated USB port to connect my phone?

Make sure your phone is in Bluetooth and in search mode. Same for Sync 3. You will get a txt message with instructions.....

I’m pretty sure you just plug it in anywhere then open Sync AppLink in your center stack. Follow it from there. I set it up at some point but couldn’t really find a use for it.

Honestly, Car Play is way easier to use. I tried the Ford + Alexa thing and it was more trouble than it was worth.
