Forewarning to all who use the hitch assist for the first time, do it on level ground!!! It told me to put the truck in Neutral and release the steering wheel and brakes. Started going backwards, wheel was turning to line up with hitch, and bam.1000008085.jpg

That’s tough! Thanks for the heads up. I’m going to tow a lot with my new MAX so will be using that feature.

I picked up my new Max platinum last week, came from a 2021 F-150 King Ranch.
I was surprised to find that the Expedition’s hitch was about 5” taller than the pickup. Thought it would be the other way around.
I’ll have to get a lower hitch bar than my current 2” drop.

I have a new enclosed trailer I need to get setup with my Expedition Max. Where/how do I get started? Is it something to find and press on the screen?

Press the trailer guide button in your console and it should pull up the feature to start. Do it on a flat parking lot in the sun not shady area.

I figured it all out, but getting my trailer calibrated was interesting; took at least 15 minutes of driving in circles before it worked.

The hitch assist and backup assist are total game changers for me. Connect to my trailer in one, brief attempt every time.
I can put the trailer wherever I want while backing up using mirrors and the knob, stupid easy.
Really cool features on my ‘25 Expy.
