My Neighbors 07 navigator had issues with the shifter being really loose.
We took it apart and found the plastic piece holding the spring was broke.
Went to the junk yard and almost all the shifters there were damage. We found a fix online and just wanted to share just incase yours needs replacing. The file We found was from a f-150 forum and it helped us out. It works with the expy/navigators also as they have the same mech. So far it holds up good. you will need to remove the roller from your old one and put it on the 3d printed part. Again this fix was from a F-150 Forum.
Just thought we would share just incase anyone runs into this issue. Ford doesn't sell just that part. They wanted us to buy a assembly.
