I have a 2017 expedition el limited and I'm replacing the shocks.. I want to go with Rancho Rx9000Xl. What you guys think? Has anyone use them on there expo? I use mine as a daily driver...

Go look at the Bilstein 5100s somebody on here recently did a write up of their 17 with 5100s. @Black maybe?

I think you would go with 4600s if you aren’t adjusting and lifting .

Correct. No point in spending more on the 5100s if not using it to lift them.

I am very happy with my Bilsteins.

I'm running the Rancho Quick Lift kit on my EL and am happy with it. I keep the dampening adjusted pretty firm and the ride is still what I'd call plush.

They're nice for offroading, but if you're primarily on road or want better handling you really can't go wrong with Bilstein.

I got mine from 4wheelparts in Louisville. They were some solid folks to deal with hopefully your location will be the same.

Nah you could’ve done F-150 fronts for up to 4” of lift. Expedition ones apparently only good for 1”

Member Black has done it and used the 0.79” height mark to achieve just over 2” in front. The spring rates are different between ours and the f150s so the number of inches each adjustment is equal to does not equate with our expeditions. For example, he used the highest slot which is equivalent to 2.10” of lift on f150s but it ended up being 4” on his 17.

When I need new tires, I’m moving down to 33/12.50/20s and running F-150 5100s on the front and Readylift spacer with 4600s on rear

While you can physically lift the front end 4” with the F150 5100s. No way you can safely run them. I had it that high for a week and it was no fun and anything over 40 nowhere near safe.
