I went with 5100s on my 2014 EL three months ago. I'm pleased. A little extra height, nicer ride, and I needed new shocks anyway. I think you'll like them.

After some further research on other sites etc. Im going with the billsteins 5100 series and just using the lift they give. Says 1.5 inches..plus I heard they are great riding struts. Found a great deal for all 4 from jackit.com for 534 free ship plus 50 bucks off. Its says they are in stock ...fingers crossed. Ill have my local shop install since I'm not a fan of pressing springs myself.
5100s way to go, as long as they are the expedition ones and not the f150 ones. Still on a national backorder I believe. I called 3 days ago

Thank you for this info. Posted it days ago looking for a deal on the Expy 5100s and got nothing. I am told/read on the Gen 4 models the fronts are good for 1.6 inches and rears 1.4 which is exactly the minor lift I am looking for...

Question about tire size... I'm planning on putting the Bilstein 5100s on my 2014 EL. My tire guy is recommending a 18x33x11.5 tire on 18 x 9 inch rims. I prefer 17 inch rims. Will the 14 Expy take 17s? He thinks there may be a problem with "clearing the brakes" with the 17s.

Question: If I install the Bilstein 5100s to lift myself 1.5 inches, can I run 35 x 12 x 17 tires? if not, now big ? I'm trying to order they wheels and tires and the tire guy's don't know or won't say. 2014 EL.

I'd like to know this also. I have a 2014 EL Limited with the Bilstein 5100s (Expy models, not F150) all around. I have BFG AT 275/55R20 tires on 20x9 Black Rhino Block wheels (5.5 inch offset, +12 Offset).

I'm extremely skeptical that 35s would fit, but I'd like to fit 33s without any rubbing or trimming.

I don't mind "trimming" personally.

You and @CommO 33/12.50s should fit. You need 3” up front for 35s to fit on factory offsets and no trimming. I run 3/2 with 35/11.50/20 On factory +44 and they did not require any trimming but we’re super close to needing it. I put 1.25” boras on to push the tires back out of the wheel well and had to move my electric running boards and do some fender plastic trimming. Bilsteins and 33/12.50 on anything from +10 offset your should fit

Thank you. Do I need 9 inch rims for that width?
