Have standard 255/70/18 on my 2008 EXP EL 4WD. Would switching to 265/65/18 tires work? Looking at some X Radial LT2's and wasn't sure if the size difference would cause any problems.

Thanks!

not much of a difference...10mm wider...u wont see a difference with that...and lower in profile of tire...wont cause any problems...not sure if it is enough to mess with mpg...dont think it is

The first # is the width in millimeters, the second is the section height as a percentage of the first. So 255x.70=178.5 versus 265x.65=172.25. So your overall height on paper will be 3.5% smaller. According to the calculator here Tire Size Calculator - Compare Tire Sizes
You would be off about 1 mile an hour low at 60 should be good to go.
