So something I've been looking at... Before my 2000 F150 got hauled off for scrap, I pulled as many parts off as possible. Some of those parts being the skid plates. I haven't crawled underneath the expedition yet to verify, but I was wondering if they would fit the expedition. I did check the front skid and that one looks as though it will fit. Will the transfer case and gas tank skid plates fit? Anyone ever try this before? Also are there any other skid plates I could get for better/more protection?

You best bet is to crawl under and look your talking about a 2000 F150 and you don't mention what year the expy is other than 1st Gen so any answer you get may just be a guess

My gas tank has a skid plate. It's integrated right into it.
My bad, my expedition is a 97 XLT 4x4 5.4. The F150 was a 2000 XLT 4x4 5.4 flareside
Yeah I do remember checking and seeing I have a plastic gas tank, wasn't thinking of the skid plates at the time. Haven't done a lot of work on this just yet. Trying to get my money together to replace the torque converter and rebuild kit for the transmission.
The gas tank on an expedition has a skid plate factory. If you have a plastic tank, its a replacement and someone removed your old skid plate (probably because it didnt work, and the tank got destroied)
