have 2010 expedition... often when coming to stop, or slowing to the complete stop, the transmission will linger and you will feel one, if not several, down-shifts in the transmission. this is especially true after accelerating and then stopping within short distances. since i am still under warranty, i want to know if this is inherent to this transmission or something unique....best i can explain the problem! thanks, notmechanical

You can try unhooking the battery for overnight that way the computer will relearn the shift stratagy, and if that does not work then take it to Ford so they can "reflash" the computer. Seems to be a pretty common issue on the newer Expy's but easily fixed.

I can see how you would want the transmission to shift exactly as you like it, and I would like to reach out to offer my assistance. So I can help, please send me a private message with your VIN, dealer name, and approximate mileage.
