I also have the Weathertech flaps on my 2018 Limited. I'm very pleased. A minor annoyance is that in snowy areas like mine where they spread gritty material on the roads, the grit builds up on the leading edge of the running boards and begins to rub on the front mudflaps when the power running boards open and close. Nothing a trip to the car wash won't solve, but just an observation.

Quick update on these mudflaps, I have purchased both Gatorback and Weathertech mudflaps. Unfortunately both have their issues, here is why.

Gatorback (One of the most popular install for F150)
- Install is about 20mins per wheel, looks very beefy and sturdy. It combines metal sheet and rubber flaps for its construction.
- Great for guarding the dirt and snow, nothing will get splashed onto the power step control arms.
- Black Powder coat on the front flap came off after 2nd pressure wash. (wtf?)
- Sucks for fitting, my wheels grinds the front flaps when I'm about 50% turned on each side. The flap is just too thick for the stock wheel, I even have a slightly smaller set of wheels as well, and yet it still touch and grind it, eventually the rubber part of the flaps become loose after too many "hits" by the wheel. I had to take it off because I'm sick of the grinding sound whenever 50% turned.
- For the price tag, I'm not happy with the result.

Weathertech:
- Easy install, 10mins per wheel, looks thin but its plastic, don't expect too much
- No fitting issues, my wheels are no longer grinding the flaps when I'm turning.
- good price, cheap enough to just have it for now.
- Problem with this design is the flaps too short, it will not guard the power step control arms from dirt and snow. I wish this design is longer so it will actually protect all the splash for the control arms, I have crap load of snow splashed onto the front and back control arms, not sure how the F their engineer designed this product without actually driving the product under real weather condition. Unfortunately I do not believe this flap will do much but more of a look.

Does anyone know if the Weathertechs will fit an Navigator? I know they aren't supposed to, but I thought they might with minor modifications.

For $80 maybe give them a try and see how it goes, or call Weathertech to inquire.

I am surprised the others rubbed. I have the full size drill less Duraflaps and they do not rub. They are 3/8" thick. They definitely protect great.
I wonder if the others are rubbing because they flap around.

The Duraflap drill-less have no problem with the retractable steps because they hang inside the fender well, not under it.

I am thinking about ordering a set of 3rd party black mudflaps for my Navigator. I do not like the ones designed for the Navigator and hust want something plain black. Anyone have some recommendations? I do have the power folding running boards.

I have a 2017 Ford Expedition Limited with the power running boards. They make the front mud flaps that work with the power boards. They have them...!

They make one for the Expedition, but not the Navigator, unless I am missing something.

love mine. Heres mine with just the rears on. took it for a spin to make sure they didn't add any noise to the ride before I put the fronts on. I love then. They really add to the truck.

I installed weather tech mud flaps on my Navigator. The fronts were easy, fit perfectly. The rears were hard. I had to cut the Expedition mud flap to fit. I then installed a flat mud guard as a liner inside so the cut areas would not be visible. Definitely not as good as the fit on the rear of the Expedition, but they fit fairly well once modified.

Sorry to bring this thread back, but the information is very useful.

I was considering the OEM Ford gatorbacks but I can't justify the price and the chrome ruins it for me.

For those that ordered the WeatherTech's, where is the best place to buy them at a discount?

Thank you.

I ordered directly from Weathertech last week (haven't come in yet) for $79.90 plus tax. I like the Ford flaps but my Expy is black, didn't think white flaps would look good - why don't they come in black?
