Sport mode 4wd steering pull

Then I would lean towards it being the hub. The computer thinks it is routing power to that wheel but you aren’t getting power there. It isn’t locked up so probably just not engaging. Should be a warranty repair.

I thought the same thing, yet honestly the service dept jist seemed like it just wanted to get it out out their way and move on.

There's zero doubt though that the right front wheel was just free wheeling.

Does this truly put the SUV back into 2wd?

Me it does, prime reason is to have the CDC shocks go to a sports oriented setting on the highway. Further I then to lock the transmission in 10th, via the manual option.

Back to the topic at hand a few things could cause the pulling

  • Bad interaction of the lane assist?
  • Or the reverses, some poor calibration of the traction control braking one of the front tires?
  • Also,as the front axle is open, during hard acceleration most torque, if directed by the transfer case will go to one wheel (we have all watched My Cousin Vinny, right

It's a power distribution issue without a doubt and every other one I drove DID NOT do it.
