Hello,
I have a 2005 XLT 4WD, with 74K miles. Every so often I'd hear a weird squel come from the rear. At first I thought it was something in the rear brakes, maybe even with the E brake, but couldn't exactly tell and didn't happen much at all. Well, I just sat in the truck today with it idling and notice the squel, almost like bad brakes, but the truck was in park and not moving if it did move we are talking like centimeters maybe. Since the truck wasn't moving I can pretty much rule out any brake or rear end noise, unless there is something that I don't know about with these trucks. It made the noise a few times within the minute, is there something happening with my fuel pump? That's the only thing that I can think of that would be a moving part back there when the truck isn't physically moving.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
