I was curious to know if it were possible to order a Expedition SSV? Iam also interested in the Tahoe Police version as well, I spoke to a few reps about the tahoe and they say I can't get one as a civilian unless i bought used.

Now my question, Is it possible to order one, or would i be better looking used?

I am pretty sure that the package is not available to civilians new. All auto makers that offer police packages should only offer them to law enforcement, emergency rescue, etc. Your best bet is to look at police auctions, etc for a used one. Are you looking mainly for the suspension upgrades?

God forbid you should be able to buy a vehicle with pre drilled holes in the roof. That would just be way too much freedom.

Isnt the SSV just a fleet vehicle? Its not persuit rated. The only ford Suv with pursuit rating i know of is the explorer.

They come stripped down to the nub. Third row seat, rear A/c. running boards, overhead console, carpeting, fog lights and much more are all options.

The biggest difference to the main line is the column shifter to make room for the communications/emergency equipment console between the seats.

The fleet manager of a large dealership might be able to do you. The MSRP on the 2012 4x4 SSV is $28,645.
