So the Gibson arrived today and the weather was perfect.
So off with the old and on with the new!

First, I used PB Blaster (rust penetrating oil) on all the bolts and let it sit for about 2 hours. I wanted them to come off easy.

Meanwhile, I went to a friends shop with professional buffing wheels and polished the tail pipe out like chrome.

This is a Stainless exhaust system.

I unbolted all of the hangers from the frame, it made it easier to remove.

I used Marine Grade Anti Seize on every fastener during re-assembly.

I used PB Blaster in the slip joints of the pipes so it was easy to slide in and around until I had the whole system lined up straight.
Then I bolted it tight.

You didn't have to cut the tail pipe right after it goes over the rear suspension? I see you used a cut off wheel to trim off the extra threads on the bolts, not sure if you used it on the stock exhaust to cut the tail pipe off.
Lastly not including letting the PB Blaster set for 2 hours, how long did in the install take?

I did not cut any of the old exhaust.
I unbolted it.

the muffler and pipe came out ounce I jacked up the rear end and gave it a little room...

The install was about 2 hours besides the 2 hours of polish on the tail pipe at my buddies shop.

The stainless exhaust tubing that I polished out was / is magnetic.
It has a lot of iron in it.
Sort of Cheap...
I'll just have to polish it out every ounce in a while.

The stainless tip that came with it was NOT magnetic...
I listed the tip on e-bay for $50... LOL

It looks good! So it does give a little more V8 noise? I got my shipping confirmation today, unfortunately I'm going out of town tomorrow, so it'll have to wait till I get CONUS again before I can install it.
