starting issue with 03 expo

I'm having an issue with my 03 expedition xlt , 5.4 L. The issue is that it seems to be cranking to much before the engine starts. It doesn't crank hard or to fast and it runs perfect but it seems to take to long for it to start when I turn the key. I only have to turn the key once and it doesn't hesitate when it starts but it seems to turn over to many times befor it starts.Most peole probably wouldn't notice it or think its a problem but I know it shouldn't take that long to start, and like I said it runs perfect so I don't think its a timing chain issue but I'm not sure what it could be. I'm hoping someone has experienced this or knows what it is and can help. Any ideas or thoughs would be greatly appreciated, Thankyou

When's the last time you changed the fuel filter?

I never replaced it, sounds like it could be that, maybe it's taking the fuel a little longer to get to the engine thanks for the suggestion,

never? Have you checked out your scheduled maintenance manual lately? Following scheduled maintenance is very important to keeping your expedition running well. Fuel filter should be changed every 30,000 miles. I have an 03 and I've changed my fuel filter atleast 4 times.
