Hi there, i just recently bought a 99 Expedition XLT 4x2 and i really want to sit this thing on the ground, just not finding what im really looking for as far as info goes or what works with these vehicles.

Im not new to modding by any means i have a 95 sonoma with a 5/6 drop and a 305 engone swap and have lowreed many cars from hondas to cavaliers...

So i guess questions i would be asking.would be whats the lowest i can go with just springs....what all is needed to sit this thing on the ground... how are the wheel hubs in these... ball koints... whats the lowest drop people do for daily driving...im sure there will be more to come...thank you on advance for the help or suggestions

i dropped mine with a 3" kit from canuck motorsports, overall ride height actually came down 5". i can agree with ydopen about hitting the frame on bumps, except i tend to hit the control arms in the front off the frame rather than the rear. but it seems like anywhere around 4ish" is when you'll start running into issues on these trucks with hitting the frame

I have the Cannuck kit as well and I get the same hitting in the front. Below that your gonna need to bag it.

JTK what shocks did you get with the kit? Or did you just get the springs?

I have the rear bump stop completly removed, I ordered some flat polyuretane bumpstops of ebay and hope they have the same thread as the bolt that holds in the stock ones?
