steering wheel clicking noise FOUND PROBLEM!

hello all,
i thought i made a post a while ago about a clicking/knocking noise i was getting from my steering wheel when turning but i cant find the post.
anyways the problem has been found!
whilst the expy was in for its service i asked them to look for it again, apparently it is the tilt mechanism of the steering column, its going to be the equivalent of $800 or there abouts to have it fixed, this is with importing the part from the US and this includes labor charges.
they say it is fine to drive but if i dont change it the noise it is making wont go away.

anyways i though i might let everyone know in case they find the same problem.

Ive had this same noise sometimes.
Ive rocked the tilt wheel up and down a few times and it goes away for a while.
Ive not heard it in while though, maybe I found the right 'notch' in the tilt to fix it.
